Hello, fashionistas! It’s been a week right? Yeah, I’ve been battling with writer’s block for a while now and ugh, it’s annoying. However, the one thing I knew could bring me out of that state was the festive season. It’s 13 days to Christmas and since it’s a season of God’s love to Humanity, I thought, why not show some love to couples? So, today, we’ll be discussing 5 amazing Christmas gift ideas for couples. A Christmas gift is an extension of one’s love for the reason of the season. I know Christmas isn’t just for couples and I could save this for Valentine’s Day but meh, we’ll do children’s gifts later… It’s also because this season is a white Christmas… Nah, I’m not talking about snow; I’m talking about weddings! (Squeals). I have been seeing wedding invitations and pictures non-stop since December started.

So, you can imagine that many more are just waiting for the perfect day, being 25th to have a big Christmas wedding. Sounds like a double celebration, doesn’t it? Anyway, I was just thinking about how much I love love and want to give the couples in my viewers list a few tips on what to get for each other this season.

1. A Day Date…

I have loved this idea ever since I came across it on Kay and Tay’s Instagram page. They are like the cutest couple ever but anyway, the idea is to have fun OUTSIDE. I’m talking old-school, romantic date that doesn’t have anything to do with getting stuck inside a restaurant at night.

So, the idea is for the gentleman to get dressed in jeans or joggers with a shirt (just keep it cool) and if it is cold, wear a beanie over his head and a coat. The lady wears either a winter dress or trousers with a cute top and a coat if it is cold. But if you’re anywhere in Nigeria, I would certainly advise against wearing any winter outfits. Why? Well because the heat here is crazy (laughs).

So after getting dressed, go to a low-key restaurant like McDonald’s (No offense) and get a to-go package or a picnic package. Then, the day date begins by taking a stroll in the park, going to an arcade, the movies, or even the zoo just anything to stay outdoors. Then end the day by doing a good deed. Now, that sounds like something I wanna do with my boyfriend (when I get one, wink).

2. Weekend Getaway:

A romantic getaway weekend is definitely another hooker. Guys, when you can’t think of a gift to give someone who has everything, the best thing to give them is attention. Especially as a couple. It could be a cozy cabin in the mountains, a beach resort, or a charming bed and breakfast in another place aside from your home.

Now, if you guys are intending to get hitched (this is for guys now), this might be the best time to introduce her to your parents. You heard me, then you can spend the weekend before Christmas with her and your family. And then on Monday, which is Christmas day, POP THE QUESTION (wink). A weekend getaway is also the best thing for parents who deserve a break from the kids themselves. They could just take Friday and Saturday for the trip and be back on Sunday evening. Just in time for Christmas.

Now this wouldn’t be a fashion blog without some fashionable insights, would it? When it comes to jewelry, the most expensive might not be the answer. Now, I don’t discriminate when it comes to cooking because I love it. Trying out new recipes in my kitchen is like therapy for me aside from reading.

Now, what makes this gift fashionable you may ask? Well, it can be fashionable when you choose to wear matching outfits (squeals). Not everyone buys the idea of a couple goals matching outfit but this gift can be so intimate that no one else knows but the both of you. It could even be only the aprons that match but the idea of actually challenging other couples to a Christmas cook-off sounds appealing.

5. Simple Home Christmas Hangout

Now, this kind of Christmas gift entails spending the day at home together and getting each other gifts that they always talked about. I usually watch The Flash and what I like the most when they aren’t fighting crime, is the way they celebrate Christmas. They would have the family and friends around and make a whole buffet.
