Lately, I have been getting many rejoinders about Fall blog posts; mainly about Fall capsule closet ideas. If you remember my last blog post on fall workwear staples, where I shared the outfit versions that you can wear to the office and beyond; the key pieces were more than enough to cover up the season and post-fall. Today I am sharing my fall weekend getaway capsule wardrobe.

What Is A Capsule Closet?

Well…to start with – a capsule closet is the indispensable piece you need to garb most of the time. Mainly these are the must-haves for all events like travel, work days, weekends, etc. Therefore, I have picked some simple yet finest pieces that I believe would make an abundant fall wardrobe. These pieces are quite affordable and latest in trend.

Important Pieces For A Fall Capsule Closet

Since capsule pieces are the utmost worn-out attire; they should be the amalgamation of comfort, style, and fashion. These pieces are my fashion basics and essential items in my fall capsule wardrobe list. So, keep on reading and make these transient fall weekends count with your style and panache.

Jackets & Blazers

I think bomber jackets and long blazers are a fall closet staple. These pieces are something you can wear for eons; oversized blazers and jackets will never go out of trend. You can style it for your weekend brunches or on a cozy date night. Add a belt to your blazer at the waist to offer a more settled look or you can rock the easy-breezy urban style look.

Cardigans & Oversized Sweaters

I live in North India where winters are at their best so; layering is a huge part of fall fashion here. Basic tees are again a pre-requisite which you can further layer with any oversized sweater. Also, as it gets colder, throwing on a fun pair of cardigans like these with chic heels is a great way to extend my life into Fall. I always try to grab cardigans and knit sweaters in neutral hues. Tartan and striped patterns are again classic options for a fall/winter wardrobe.

Jeans & Leggings

I wear either jeans or leggings more or less daily. Make sure to include a pair of vintage-wash denim jeans in your fall closet. Vintage denim is a perfect example of a staple and you will never run out of ideas to style them. If you are not a big fan of denim (well you have not found anyone yet!) you can also go with ankle trousers; they look stylish and are a closet staple for relaxed weekends.

Capsule Accessories Perfect For Your Fall Wardrobe

Scarves, berets, and knee boots are a must for an impeccable fall closet. I usually get inclined towards silk scarves or stoles. I believe a silk scarf can give an ensemble an appropriate & sophisticated look. Again, fall is the season for black boots. You can include a black knee-high boot or bootie to compliment any fall look. Taupe shoes or nude pumps are also other finest options that can be paired with most of the outfits.

Creating a Minimalist Fall Capsule Wardrobe Is Possible

When you take the time to invest in a perennial closet, you can effortlessly switch from one season to another. To make the most of your wardrobe you just need to consider which pieces work best for you and what you need to add more, according to your style quotient. So, let me know what you guys think of my fall weekend capsule closet.
