Teyana Taylor, a Golden Globe-winning actress, made a grand entrance on the red carpet and stage at the 28th Costume Designers Guild Awards, where she received the Vanguard Spotlight Award. She looked breathtaking in a sleeveless red dress designed by the 44-year-old Australian designer Tamara Ralph, which she presented on the first day of Paris Fashion Week at Pavillon Cambon for her Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2026 ready-to-wear collection entitled “La Lumière Dorée” or The Golden Light. This collection was inspired by a dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures, highlighting architectural, origami-inspired folds and traditional Asian craftsmanship.

The gown had a glossy mother-of-pearl corset top with a halter neckline and lace-up accents at the back of the waist, as well as a floor-length silk skirt that flowed freely and draped beautifully about her, complete with a tiny train. Teyana Taylor elevated her look even further with the D’Accori “Belle” patent leather strappy platform shoes in a refined black licorice color, set on an astounding 150 mm hourglass platform heel.

Kate Hudson also attended the 28th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards, where singer-songwriter and rapper Janelle Monáe presented her with the Spotlight Award onstage. Accepting the honor, the Oscar-nominated star looked stunning in a one-of-a-kind lilac satin gown redesigned by creative director Alessandro Michele, inspired by Valentino Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 collection, “Fireflies.”

The dress had a halter neck top with two magnificent tie bows cascading down one side and a flowing maxi skirt with gathering features in the front that created a wonderful ruching effect, transforming it into a work of art.
