1. Tessa Thompson: A Daring Sensation
Tessa Thompson appeared at the 2026 Film Independent Spirit Awards, strolling gracefully from the blue carpet to the stage to present Kayo Martin with the Best Breakthrough Performance award for his role as Jake in the 2025 horror-drama The Plague.

The 42-year-old actress and fashion icon drew all eyes in a black sleeveless Collina Strada gown drawn from the label’s latest Fall/Winter 2026 ready-to-wear show, led by creative director and founder Hillary Taymour on day one of New York Fashion Week, held February 11–16, 2026, in New York.
Her gown had a gorgeously draped satin fabric across the neckline, an eye-catching white geometric print on the bodice, and a sheer maxi silhouette that flowed gracefully down the blue carpet, exposing a daring glimpse of her black underwear underneath.
Tessa Thompson, the Hedda performer, matched her alluring Collina Strada dress with black Jimmy Choo Minny suede sandals and striking accessories inspired by the French luxury jewelry house Rouvenat. Her jewelry collection included “Small Unlock” earrings made of 18-karat yellow gold and pearls; a “Frame” ring fashioned from recycled 18-karat gold, black lacquer, peridot, and white diamond; and the “Tag” 18k rose gold ring with a captivating pink central sapphire nestled in a blackened silver setting.

Tessa’s fashion statement was unmistakably a blend of sophistication and daring elegance!

2. Kaia Gerber: Mesh Mastery
Kaia Jordan Gerber, the Givenchy model and actress, strode confidently down the blue carpet to the stage, where she and Canadian actor François Arnaud presented the Best New Non-Scripted or Documentary Series award.

Kaia Gerber dazzled fans in her black sleeveless mesh Givenchy racerback pencil dress, designed by Sarah Burton, an English fashion designer and creative director, and inspired by the upcoming Pre-Fall 2026 collection. The gown was wholly knitted in jacquard, featuring a round neck and a midi silhouette that beautifully outlined her curves while sparing little to the imagination with its high-cut cut that revealed her G-string panties.

Kaia Jordan Gerber embodied contemporary fashion at its best, perfectly blending sultry and sophisticated. With her poised presence and that striking dress, she made a lasting impression on the awards night.
3. Nina Dobrev: Floral Fantasy
Finally, Nina Dobrev, a Dior ambassador, walked the blue carpet inside the Hollywood Palladium looking stylish and vibrant in a Carolina Herrera neon orange silk organza strapless gown embroidered with scarlet red saffron blossoms.

This vibrant Carolina Herrera dress draws inspiration from the Spring/Summer 2026 collection, “A Love Letter to Madrid,” designed by 39-year-old American fashion designer and creative director Wes Gordon in collaboration with Sybilla, and unveiled at Madrid’s Plaza Mayor.
The dress had a structured bustier bodice with a deep V-neckline and a flowing A-line maxi silhouette that cascaded down the blue carpet. Nina Dobrev, a Canadian actress and fashion icon, completed her look with neon orange satin pointed-toe heels from Carolina Herrera’s Spring/Summer 2026 “A Love Letter to Madrid” collection, a Tyler Ellis Perry butterscotch plexi purse, and an Effy “Nature” 14K yellow gold diamond flower-shaped ring.

Nina’s colorful presentation was a refreshing splash against the blue backdrop, exuding charm and grace.
