Blackpink Jennie Steals the Show at the 2026 Met Gala in Jaw-Dropping Chanel Ensembles
On Monday, May 4, BLACKPINK Jennie Kim attended the 2026 Met Gala, themed “Costume Art,” with Beyoncé, Rihanna, Margot Robbie, Anna Wintour, Madonna, Anne Hathaway, Kim Kardashian, and Julianne Moore.
Having previously attended the Met Gala for “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty” (2023), “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” (2024), and “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” (2025), Jennie once again captured attention at this year’s event. She drew significant media buzz by turning heads on the red carpet and then continued in the spotlight at the after-party in Chanel looks—all designed by the brand’s creative director, Matthieu Blazy.

First up, a 30-year-old K-pop artist made a striking arrival at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. She wore a custom blue strapless Chanel column gown embellished with 15,000 iridescent disc sequins, designed to reflect light and create a scale-like effect. The dress featured a straight neckline and a closely fitted bodice, followed by a floor-length maxi skirt. Completing the look were silver metallic Casadei platform peep-toe sandals with high stiletto heels.
South Korean singer and rapper Jennie elevated her red carpet appearance with standout Chanel details, designed to make her glow under the ceremony lights. She paired a distinctive Chanel Métiers d’art 2024/25 oyster clutch with a refined 18-carat white gold and diamond earcuff from the Chanel Les Blés high jewelry collection, then added a Chanel motif Russe ring from the Le Paris Russe de Chanel collection.

Beyond the red carpet, Jennie, the “Like Jennie” singer, showcased her elegance once more at the GQ Met Gala After-Party, which was held at Cafe Zaffri at The Twenty Two in New York in Union Square and attended by her co-singer Rosé, Chase Infiniti, and Tate McRae.

For this occasion, she wore a custom Chanel two-piece spaghetti-strap wool-silk camisole set, inspired by the brand’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection designed by creative director Matthieu Blazy during Paris Fashion Week in March 2026.
Her top featured a V-shaped neckline and a cropped hem that elegantly framed her midriff, and then it was elevated by multicolored floral embroidery and sparkling sequins sweeping across the bodice for an artistic, standout finish. The two-piece look was finished with a coordinated white low-rise midi skirt, complete with the same delicate embroidery extending from the knees downward, creating a polished, cohesive, and evening-ready style.

Jennie Kim finished her after-party look with black patent leather Reformation “Claudette” knee-high boots, black Ray-Ban RB4335 sunglasses for a touch of chic mystery, and an 18K beige gold Chanel Coco Crush Fine Jewelry ring that added understated elegance to her fingers.
