SKIN TYPES

Skin type is determined by how oily or dry the skin is. The first thing you should look for is the presence or absence of visible pores(follicles), Obvious pores indicate oily skin areas, and lack of visible pores indicates dry skin.

SKIN SIGNS OF SKIN TYPES

  • OILY ~Obvious, Large Pores
  • DRY~ Pores very small and not visible
  • NORMAL ~Even pore distribution throughout skin, Very soft smooth surface, Lack of wrinkles
  • COMBINATION~ Pores not visible or become smaller towards the outer edges of the face and a wider distribution of obvious large pores down the center of the face extending to the outer cheeks.

PRIMERS

Using a face primer before applying any makeup to the face is important. This helps to create a smooth canvas for your makeup, It also keeps your makeup in place, keeps it from moving, and can keep it matte or luminous,” depending on the formula and your skin. Not only does it give you an even base, but it also helps lock everything else in.

  • STICK FOUNDATION- Great option for anyone with combination or oily skin, who is looking for extra coverage. This doesn’t mean that your skin will end up looking cakey or feeling heavy.

A thick, heavy type foundation used to hide dark circles, dark splotches, and other imperfections, also compared to color correctors and when blended into the skin, are supposed to look natural and seamless.

Color Correcting Guide

Concealers are also used to brighten/highlight your under eyes and high-points of your face like nose bridge, the center of forehead, and chin. Pick a concealer 1-2 shades lighter than your natural skin tone.

Contour is darker than a concealer, it helps shape and accentuates your facial features. This can be accomplished by choosing a concealer shade 2-3 shades darker than your natural skin tone.
