I have always admired the confidence of a transgender. They have unapologetic confidence. They can truly express themselves. They are confident to identify their identity.
I grew up surrounded by gays. I studied in a catholic school and being gay was not acceptable to the nuns and the priests. They dress like boys, then acted like girls. They were hiding their true identity in a men’s closet.
As they age, they also experiment to find their true identity and to choose who they want to be, a gay in a men’s closet or a true bloom woman. Either or, they both have my highest respect.
Dear readers, it is my honor and pleasure to introduce Ms. CANDICE MADRIGAL, who educates me about identity, expression, and sex.
She can be compared to a beauty queen or an actress. She was made by science and she is not denying this. What’s behind her beauty is a heart of a true loving daughter of her mother and a true friend. She actively participates in saving children from hunger. Supporter of LGBTQ community and educated people about SOGE – Sexual Orientation / Gender Identity.
I was also privileged to learn from her about Crossdresser, which describes a person who wears clothes usually associated with the “opposite” sex. This is seen as a form of gender expression. The word “transvestite” is not used much these days. And the expression “drag queen” is different, meaning a man who “dresses as a woman” for purpose of entertainment. Crossdressers can be a man, women, or transgender. It’s just an expression – wearing drag makeup and even a woman can be a drag, added by Candice when I asked her about the difference between a cross-dresser and a trans. Ms. Candice is a beauty and brain transgender.
But this is not the real story. Despite her looks and her appearance as a woman, she also gets criticism and offensive comments. How do you properly address a transgender? She dresses and talks like a woman, she has long hair and boobs, will you call her Sir or Ma’am, Mr. or Ms.?!
Gender identity, in my personal opinion, if I see a transgender like her, I will call her Ms. or Ma’am. That is giving them respect.
What we are missing is Sexual Orientation / Gender Identity (SOGE) in our society.
We must acknowledge that the process and the challenges they had before they decided to be who they are today were not easy. Not to mention the additional expenses to maintain their allure. They take glutathione, estrogen, collagen, and a lot more for maintenance.
Why do people cross-dresser? Cross-dressers may cross-dress for reasons other than sexual stimulation—for example, to reduce anxiety, to relax, or, in the case of male cross-dressers, to experiment with the feminine side of their otherwise male personalities. To discover who they are and perhaps identify their true identity.
However, for Ms. Candice, she knew from the beginning that she was born as a woman trapped in a man’s body. She never doubted herself, her heart, and her brain, she is a woman.
If you are wondering where she gets her gowns, they are from Ms. Princess Rivera, another trans beauty queen, travel enthusiast, businesswoman, and a registered nurse.
Personally, there are no words that can express their beauty. They are strong to stand for their right and to express their identity. They fight for equality. They don’t pretend, they know who they are and what they are.
A real queen doesn’t need a crown as the crown is on their heart and on their being.
They steal the catwalk as they walk into the red carpet. They call attention on the street because of their unapologetic fashion. They wear what they want and what they feel.
Fashion is for everyone. Fashion is wearing your identity and being comfortable in your own skin. Fashion is being confident in who you are and flaunting your greatest asset. Fashion is to express identity, emotions, and experiments. Be who you are and be proud of it!
