Preventing Dirt Accumulation

A weekly dose of egg mask can help the skin prevent accumulating dirt. All you have to do is separate the white from the yellow portion of the egg, apply the white one on the face, let it dry, and rinse it with warm water.

If you are uncomfortable with the smell of raw eggs, adding a few drops of lemon juice to the mask will do the trick.

Minimizing oil

For less oily skin with eggs, apply the mixture of beaten egg white, one teaspoon of lemon juice, and a teaspoon of honey on the face, leave it for 15 minutes, and rinse it with warm water. As the egg tightens the pores, the lemon juice absorbs the excess oil while the honey adds moisture to the skin.

However, if discomfort arises especially because of the lemon juice, rinse it with water immediately.

Achieving Skin Nourishment

You can attain well-nourished skin without using chemicals that can bring more damage to the skin. If you have dry skin, the mixture of one egg yolk, one tablespoon of honey, and two drops of almond oil might be the solution. The protein and Vitamin A in the egg contribute to the nourishment your skin needs to glow.

Getting less oil through Face scrub

To help you get rid of too much oil on your skin, apply egg scrubs twice a week. For this, combine the whole egg with oatmeal. Apply it on a clean face, and scrub for a few minutes before rinsing.

Exfoliating skin through Body scrub

Aside from the raw eggs, its shells can beautify your skin too. Mix the ground shell egg into a teaspoon of salt and two teaspoons of honey. This scrub can be applied using a loofah or even bare hands. This natural formulation is good for getting rid of dry and dull skin.

Before doing your preferred egg mask or scrub, remember to do the following first:

Check for allergies: If you have known allergies to eggs or egg products, it’s crucial to avoid using them on your skin. Perform a patch test on a small area of your skin to check for any adverse reactions.

Cleanse your skin: Wash your face or the area of skin where you plan to apply the egg thoroughly with a gentle cleanser to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup. It will help the egg mask adhere better to your skin, allowing better absorption of its nutrients.

Check your skin type: Knowing your skin type can help you to know how frequently you should use an egg mask or scrub. For sensitive skin, it can be used from once a week to once a month. Meanwhile, applying the mask every other day or twice a week can be suitable if you have dry skin.
