Feathers
Designers are swooning over feathers this season, which are yet another extravagant embellishment. This stunning detail adds a touch of glitz to your wedding gown, whether you prefer ethereal, barely-there wisps or plumage that packs a serious punch.
Short dress
These outfits may have short hemlines, but they have big personalities. If you’re eloping, having a casual ceremony, or simply want a reason to wear a killer pair of shoes, this 2021 wedding dress trend is for you. Do you wish to attend your wedding ceremony in a long gown? All other wedding-related events, such as the reception, rehearsal dinner, or bridal shower, can be dressed up with a short dress.
 Ruffles
The return of larger weddings is the perfect excuse to don a maximalist (read: flamboyant antithesis of minimalist) gown. The epitome of maximalist design is this frilly, unapologetic extra detail. Ruffled skirts add dimension to mermaid silhouettes, and a full skirt of frothy, cascading ruffles is equal parts whimsical and fashion forward. If you’re not a fan of a lot of noise, this is not the place for you. Consider a slim fit with unexpected ruffle details.

 Embroidery that isn’t too heavy
Light gold is a fantastic option because it can be worn from the ceremony to the reception. “Gold is a great, versatile option because there will only be two or three events instead of the dozen we usually have at our weddings,” Dalal says. The majority of Indian brides wear a different outfit for their receptions or after-parties, but if you’re one of them, a colour like gold allows you to simply change up your jewellery or accessories for a unique look that will take you from the traditional ceremonies to the after-party.
Bird Themes
Birds are the most popular botanical motif this year. It’s a good idea to have it embroidered on your lehenga. This season’s lehengas feature some intriguing bird themes. designers, such as JJ Valaya, Rimple, and Harpreet, have recently experimented with bird motifs in skirts and blouses, while Rahul Mishra is known for his botanical themes. On the lehengas, we noticed finely embroidered peacock designs, swans, bright sparrows, and parrots.
A rouge pink tulle and silk lehenga is adorned with floral motifs and bejewelled peacocks, which are inspired by Mughal-era murals depicting peacock-filled palace gardens.

 Attire that is light and flowy
Because of the current economic climate, many brides are opting for small, intimate weddings with only their closest relatives and friends in attendance. Rather than being tethered to a spot on the stage in a hefty lehenga that can weigh up to 20-30 kilogrammes, light flowing lehengas are becoming increasingly popular.
Traditional lehengas limit your ability to mingle with your guests and dance the night away. Feather and embroidered fabrics, as well as fairy fabrics like chiffon and organza, are ideal.
