We all have that one moment where you just feel like you wanna hang with your boyfriend after a stressful day at work even though you look absolutely ridiculous in your office attire especially when you’re dealing with customers that actually puts the “Karen’s attitude” to shame when they come into your workplace and decides to boss you around.
Bula vinaka everyone it’s me, Andrea here with another unfortunate turn of events in fashion.
So yesterday I went to the city where our HQ is, to undergo training and after my training session was done I went around the city, went window shopping and it was nice. I liked experiencing new stuff and discovering something new for myself.
After I had my fill of sightseeing and wandering around, I decided to head home which is roughly 2 hours from the city.
**BUS RIDE…..HERE I COME!!**
But I didn’t get the chance to board the bus because my boyfriend decided to surprise me with a sudden date.
Believe me, I do not like sudden dates like this. I may not be a fashion icon as I have mentioned before in my previous posts but I was still weary and cautious of what I wear, and how I look…mainly for myself.
Anyways…this is what I had on for work yesterday…..minus the heels of course. I always pair it up with palm sandals.
Trust me…I was not gonna be caught on a date with my boyfriend wearing that. So while my boyfriend was still looking for a space to park, I quickly went around the clothing shops in the city to look for something “worth- date” look.
And I got this instead……minus the hat of course.
I found a pair of blue bottom ripped shorts at a thrift store and I just paired it up with the button-up shirt I was wearing from work.
Don’t be so quick to judge and say “Ewww, the thrift store!”
NO!!!!
Thrift stores are fabulous, I don’t get why it’s such a big deal nowadays to buy from thrift stores, there is actually some pretty good stuff there and it’s for an affordable price.
‘yes they are used’ and ‘yes they are not new’
BUT
All that matters is that your body is covered………that’s it.
Anyways I am so getting off topic here but yeah…………..
That’s what I wore on my sudden date last night and I had the time of my life with my boyfriend.
To conclude……………
Do whatever makes you happy, if shopping in a thrift store does it for u then go get it………
Be you, do it for you. Life is short so make the most of it while you’re at it and seriously don’t ever go on dates if you ain’t fashionably ready for it and you don’t feel like it. I’m not ready for it but I always want to have a good time being comfortable with my surroundings including what I wear.
