A Night of Fashion: Doechii Shines at 2026 BET Awards with Three Unforgettable Outfits

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, the BET Awards were hosted at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California, to honor achievements in music, television, cinema, and sports. Notable personalities from the entertainment industry made noteworthy appearances at the 2026 BET Awards, including American rapper and singer-songwriter Doechii, who received a nomination for her celebrated track “Bloom” from her second mixtape “Alligator Bites Never Heal” and won an award for the song “Girl, Get Up,” which she co-wrote with 36-year-old singer-songwriter SZA the previous year.

At the awards ceremony, the Levi’s global ambassador Doechii enthralled audiences on the red carpet and stage with her dynamic performance and eye-catching ensemble, designed by Australian fashion designer Sam Woolf and inspired by the ready-to-wear collections of Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, and Dsquared2.

In this post, we are going to look closely at three costumes worn by Grammy-winning performer Doechii at the 2026 BET Awards. Keep scrolling to see how she dazzled the crowd with her looks.

1. Striking the Pose on the Red Carpet

Doechii, the “Anxiety” singer-songwriter, was first spotted posing proudly on the red carpet at the Peacock Theatre for the 2026 BET Awards, looking absolutely spectacular in a vintage chocolate-brown sleeveless sheer crochet gown, inspired by the Dsquared2 Men’s Wear Spring/Summer 2006 ready-to-wear collection, designed by Canadian designers Dean and Dan Caten during Milan Fashion Week.

Her exquisite gown featured a backless halter design, secured with spaghetti straps tied behind the neck, and was complemented by a plunging neckline and bold deep side cut-outs at the waist, giving the entire look an extra bold edge. Adding to its elegance, the dress included a large, circular floral-inspired motif hand-crocheted around the waist and a floor-length mermaid skirt with a sweeping train that made her look truly magnificent.

To enhance her look, Doechii wore archival Louis Vuitton heeled gladiator platform sandals, inspired by the brand’s Spring/Summer 2009 ready-to-wear runway collection, which was presented during Paris Men’s Fashion Week by the renowned American fashion designer Marc Jacobs. The inspired shoes were embellished with brown beads, complemented by long fringes along the ankle, and set on block heels.

In addition, she accessorized her overall look with striking pieces, including a chocolate-brown beaded cross necklace that matched her crochet dress, a bracelet, and an elegant arm cuff.

She appeared in a black Roberto Cavalli semi-sheer column tulle gown, crafted under the direction of the brand’s creative director, Fausto Puglisi, as part of Milan Fashion Week for the womenswear fall/winter 2026/2027 ready-to-wear collection. The dress was fully covered with floral lace appliqués, featuring a spaghetti-strap bodice with a sweetheart neckline and an A-line maxi skirt finished with a floor-skimming satin sheen.

3. Captivating the Stage During Performance

Following that, Doechii was spotted backstage posing before joining SZA onstage at the BET Awards 2026 to perform “Girl, Get Up.”

Backstage at the 2026 BET Awards, Doechii wore a vintage-inspired Gucci faux-fur studded bolero jacket, tie-front bralette top, mesh pencil skirt, and platform gladiator sandals.

She looked dashing on stage in a vintage Gucci two-tone faux-fur bolero jacket inspired by the brand’s men’s Fall/Winter 2008/2009 ready-to-wear collection, designed by Italian fashion designer and creative director Frida Giannini during Milan Fashion Week. Her Gucci bolero, trimmed with gold studs along the collar, was styled with a brown bralette top secured at the center by a long fabric tie that hung down over her abs.

Doechii completed her stage performance look with a two-tone, vintage Jean Paul Gaultier low-rise mesh pencil midi skirt, drawing inspiration from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2001 ready-to-wear runway collection.

The design featured large fawn-like dot detailing and was further embellished with beading at the waist, paired with two-tone leather gladiator platform sandals.
