Blizzard also revealed that it will organize the Heroic Tavern Brawl which uses it’s Wild format. In an article on its blog in which the developer Blizzard revealed the changes that will be made for its battler card in the February updates. The first card to be adjusted includes Small-Time Buccaneer. Blizzard states that “the combo of Small-Time Buccaneer along with Patches the Pirate have been being seen too often within the metagame,” so it has cut the health stat of the first from 2 to 1.
The other card that will be altered includes Spirit Claws, which now costs 2 Mana (up from 1). This is to counter the use-to-death this weapon that has proven to be “extremely effective” in removing enemies according to Blizzard.
The patch that is coming will alter the way in which the system of ranking works. In the game of ranked play, there will there will be “floors,” designed to assist players in their progression. The floors, which are available at Ranks 5, 10 and 15 will serve as checkpoints which means that once you’ve gotten to say 5, Rank 5 and you will never fall below that point and return to ranks 4 and up. Watch out for an update “near the close the month of February.”
