“I feel like people are styling capris in a moderately comparable manner to the mid-2000s, for certain slight changes, for example, more high-rise styles, more Capri-cut athleisure and less of the ‘skirts-over-jeans’ trend that made disproportional look in the past. In street style, I’m seeing individuals pair their capris with cute crop tops, large belts, and cat heels, which have shown to be all ageless,” says James-Williams. This tip is for each of the people who normally favor wearing sneakers over towering heels. “For an easygoing look, that will keep you comfortable and stylish for a day of getting things done, I’d style a couple of capris with a staple white tank top and some running shoes,” says James-Williams. Whether you prefer Nike high tops or Hoka running sneakers, a trendy pair can make the entire look jazzy yet functional for the day.
Indulge in a Bold Socks and Loafers Combo
Talking about practical footwear, loafers are one more extraordinary choice to spice up your look this season. Include some relaxed capris pants and bright socks and you’ll have yourself a champ (without seeming as though you’re a cast member from Hamilton). “I love the little show of skin between a sock and gasp fix. It causes the outfit to feel ten times more energetic,” says Crichlow. “While ballet flats certainly took over in 2023, I personally lean towards loafers since I like the vibe of a chunky shoe.”

Reality: The best part about fashion is having the option to experiment with your look. “The main part about styling capris is ensuring your full look is adjusted by blending oversized silhouettes in with additional fitted styles,” explains James-Williams. The stylist suggests matching denim capris with a basic tee and an oversized blaze, as “it supplements the thin spasm of the bottoms.” Make sure to mess with different sizes, designs, and patterns to find a combination that works for you.
