India has made a great history in the fashion world and it is gradually going to engage in the fashion world for many decades. I have shared a glimpse of many fashion weeks and recently I shared about Paris fashion week. Today’s blog is a glimpse of Indian couture fashion week 2023.
Indian couture week was formed in the year 2008 and the purpose to formed it was to enhance and displayed the creativity and extraordinary work of Fashion designers. In this event, Designers show their collections and designs through the medium of a ramp walk occur by celebrities.
INDIAN COUTURE FASHION WEEK 2023
Indian couture fashion week 2023 started on 25 July in the Taj Palace Hotel of Delhi. It was announced by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). This event features major Indian designers showcasing their stunning collections. The event is organised by the FDCI and Hyundai Motor India and is scheduled to run from 25 July to 2 August 2023. It’s the 16th edition of this couturiers week, in which 16 designers will participate one by one. Participating designers include Anamika Khanna, Dolly J, Falguni Shane Peacock, Gaurav Gupta, JJ Valaya, Kunal Rawal, Rahul Mishra, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rimzim Dadu, Ritu Kumar, Rohit Gandhi, Rahul Khanna, Rose Room, Samant Chauhan, Shantnu Nikhil, Suneet Varma, Tarun Tahiliani and Varun Bahl. There will also be two to three off-site shows during Couture Week. I have shared the contribution of Kiara, Bhumi, Janhvi and Aditi Rao and Today I’m going to share the rest contribution which was held between 29 July to 2 August.
Ranbir Kapoor on Friday won hearts with his ramp walk on Day 4 of India Couture Week 2023. After a long time, Ranbir hit the runway for ace designer Kunal Rawal. He wore a dark blue kurta with Jack and pants. The pant that he wore attracted the viewer very much busy because of his lungi combination.
Shraddha Kapoor, a lovely and favourite actress of every Indian, turned showstopper and walked the ramp in a sparkling silver lehenga with an innovative blouse. She matched it with her hair cut which was continuously popular in the media for a long time. shraddha wore a diamond crystal necklace with a thin frill blouse.
Athiya Setty, the great diva looks gorgeous in a heavily-embellished ivory gown with a jacket-inspired silhouette, all swathed in the designer’s signature patchwork, floral motifs and tone-on-tone embroidery. She got a flowered decorative dress with bound hair.
Ananya’s golden beauty made her shine on the podium. She wore a golden colour leaf structure embroidered slit skirt with a matching blouse. She chose hoop earrings to accessorize her look, complementing her golden attire with a soft, subtle makeup style that accentuated her natural beauty.
Sara Ali Khan with Aditya Roy made a perfect entry for designer Shantnu and Nikhil’s Couture collection. Sara was looking like a perfect bride in her light pink flavoured lehenga as well as Aditya also wore the same colour kurta dhoti with the contrast of design in his dhoti.
