India has made a great history in the fashion world and it is gradually going to engage in the fashion world for many decades. I have shared a glimpse of many fashion weeks and recently I shared about Paris fashion week. Today’s blog is a glimpse of Indian couture week 2023. It’s an event held every year to increase the interest of people in fashion and to take the updates in the fashion world.
INTRODUCTION
Indian couture week was formed in the year 2008 and the purpose to formed it was to enhance and displayed the creativity and extraordinary work of Fashion designers. In this event, Designers show their collections and designs through the medium of a ramp walk occur by celebrities.
INDIAN COUTURE WEEK 2023
Indian couture week 2023 started on 25 July in the Taj Palace Hotel of Delhi. It was announced by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). This event features major Indian designers showcasing their stunning collections. The event is organized by the FDCI and Hyundai Motor India and is scheduled to run from 25 July to 2 August 2023.
It’s the 16th edition of this couturiers week, in which 16 designers will participate one by one. Participating designers include Anamika Khanna, Dolly J, Falguni Shane Peacock, Gaurav Gupta, JJ Valaya, Kunal Rawal, Rahul Mishra, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rimzim Dadu, Ritu Kumar, Rohit Gandhi, Rahul Khanna, Rose Room, Samant Chauhan, Shantanu Nikhil, Suneet Varma, Tarun Tahiliani and Varun Bahl. There will also be two to three off-site shows during Couture Week.
Kiara Advani who is one of the highest-paid actresses in the film industry got Barbie-inspired outfits for Falguni and Shane Peacock. She made a bold look on ICW from her Barbie girl look. She wore a pink glittering two-piece outfit. As a showstopper, it was the perfect outfit. It was such a versatile outfit and perfectly fitted Advani just because of her personality, appearance, and the quality of deserving that attire.
Aditi Rao Hydari who is an Indian actress attended the second day of ICW for Ritu Kumar. She showed a glamorous look and innovative creativity on the ramp. She wore a lehenga attire featuring a jacket-style blouse with full sleeves, featuring a V-neckline, and a double collar. This was a full embroidery lehenga with a mirrored glimpse.
Janhvi Kapoor stole the show with her blue lehenga in which she ramped walk for Gaurav Gupta Indian Couture week. It was a stunning midnight blue lehenga in which her fans said that she was looking like a princess. Her outfit featured a bralette-style blue with thin stripes and a plunging neckline. She paired it with a beautiful, free-flowing skirt with intricate sequin work all over.
Bhumi Pednekar an Indian actress stole the glamour of viewers with her 24-karat gold charm in her fishtail outfit. She got a golden color embroidered outfit designed by Varun Bahl. She was there to present the collection and creativity of Varun Bahl on the 3rd day of Indian Couture Week 2023.
