J. Cole is a rap artist, destined for Jermaine Lamarr Cole on the 28th of January, 1985, in Frankfurt Germany but he grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The man celebrated for his contemplative verses and powerful narrative has won numerous Grammies and a cultish status in the hip-hop subculture. This is true especially by going through his lyrics and listening to his music, J. Cole is a very plain man, or so it appears. Simplicity and the rare daring statement piece that can go hand in hand with artistic attire frame him.
1. J. Cole in Casual T-shirts and Joggers
Arguably the most laid back, J. Cole isn’t a stranger to wearing hoodies and sweatpants. The casual ensembles are contrary to his relaxed personality, and these are his official street-style concert and show wear.
2. J. Cole in Denim in Every Form
J. Cole wears denim jackets and jeans often. With an air of nonchalance, he mostly chooses regular blue or bleached jeans combined with t-shirts, torn at times.
3. J. Cole in Earth-Toned Outfits
It is quite obvious that J. Cole prefers working within the neutral and earth elements. Thus, ranging from an olive green jacket to a beige sweater, they sort of reinforce that he is all about minimalistic yet powerful dressing sense.
4. Classic Sneakers
Rubber shoes and sneakers comprise a large part of J. Cole’s outfits. When it comes to his sneaker choices it’s interesting to see him in Air Jordans while also appreciating nice white kicks which are functional and basic, very much like himself.
5. Statement Jackets
Sometimes, J. Cole inclines with style on jackets with varsity or leather coats occasionally. These works bring a little injection of provocation without losing his casualism.
6. The No-Jewelry Approach
Hip-hop fashion is something that most artists in the scene are specifically associated with such as flashy jewelry and J. Cole seldom uses it. His use of jewelry and his fewer belts are indeed very minimal because he wants his music and he wants the truth to be seen and heard, not the materialism.
The Crown Me King brand, which is curated by J. Cole is all about simplicity and authenticity. His clothing choices – hoodies, denim, sneakers, and earthy colors reflect a regular guy who doesn’t want to break the mold and put on airs when he’s an artist.
With hoodies, jeans, and casual sneakers as his trademarks, J. Cole doesn’t need flashy designs to gain attention. In terms of colors, they tend not to be too vibrant, with even his strong pieces fitting the theme of subdued personality that he possesses.
