Elegance Personified: Natalie Portman in Custom Dior Haute Couture Stuns at the “Eddington” Cannes Film Festival Premiere

The current 2025 Cannes Film Festival has been a spectacular fashion show, beginning with the opening ceremony on the first day, which featured prominent celebrities such as Bella Hadid and Heidi Klum, followed by the premiere of “Mission: Impossible—The Final Reckoning” on the second day, and the red carpet event for “Eddington” on the fourth day, which was attended by Natalie Portman, Angelina Jolie, Emma Stone, and others.

Natalie Portman, an Israeli-American film producer and Christian Dior global beauty ambassador, stunned everyone with her second Dior costume during the red carpet screening of the A24 western-horror film premiere “Eddington,” which took place inside Cannes’ Palais des Festivals. This occurred when she attended the “Arco” photocall earlier that day (May 16th, 2025) in an embroidered minidress from the Christian Dior Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2025/2026 collection.

Natalie Portman, an Oscar-winning actress, looked effortlessly ageless and drew everyone’s attention as she arrived at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of “Eddington” in a two-tone Dior gown designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri that expertly blended traditional grace with contemporary flair. (This dress was originally designed by Christian Dior in 1951 and was modeled by Fiona Campbell-Walter for his Fall/Winter 1951 Haute Couture collection.)

The look included an off-the-shoulder evening gown with a lovely black ribbon bow delicately knotted at the front and shimmering silver sequin accents.

The outfit was completed with a high-waisted skirt that flowed beautifully as she walked down the red carpet and mesmerizing black and silver sequined petals designed by Atelier Safrane Cortambert, which drew everyone’s attention and set her apart from other celebrities. This remarkable attention to detail, from the bow tie to the silver sequined petals, demonstrates both Dior’s inventive design tradition and Natalie Portman’s passion for fashion.

Natalie Portman not only looked stunning as ever at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in a custom Dior Haute Couture gown inspired by a 1951 archival Christian Dior design, but she also looked even more dazzling in Tiffany & Co. accessories inspired by the brand’s Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder high jewelry collection, which was inspired by Jean Schlumberger’s famous aquatic designs.

She wore a breathtaking “Wave” necklace in 18k white and yellow gold, adorned with over 90 dazzling carats of diamonds, as well as magnificent diamond earrings and an 18k white gold ring studded with more than 18 carats of diamonds. This choice in jewelry amplified her ensemble, creating an unforgettable harmony of vintage couture and modern luxury.
