Nothing beats Taylor Swift Eras Tour ensembles for “Style” (get it?). The performer is currently living out her “Wildest Dreams” in terms of her on-stage look while on the European leg of her viral globe tour (all right, we’ll stop).
While on tour, Swift has been delivering flawless performance outfits in typical superstar fashion. She has a minimum of one themed costume for each of her eras, with a setlist spanning over three hours and featuring over forty songs. Certain eras feature many costume changes, both on and off stage.
Each design conceptualizes the mood of its era through its silhouette, colors, and materials, with some even paying reference to her specific former tour looks. From bedazzling power suits and ballgowns to embroidered bodysuits and T-shirts.
Here are a few of Taylor Swift’s most stylish looks from the Eras Tour thus far.
The Lover era: A bedazzled pastel Atelier Versace bodysuit
Swift has always opened each show on the North American portion of her tour with songs from her sixth studio album, Lover. She also wears a special Versace bodysuit with matching glittering Christian Louboutin boots.
Although she owns two other variations of this incredibly sparkling bodysuit (one that is primarily gold and the other that is primarily purple), this particular outfit flawlessly captures the essence of the Lover album, as its light pink and blue diamonds mirror the dreamy sky featured in the album’s cover art.
The Fearless era: A gold fringe Roberto Cavalli dress
She frequently wears this gold custom Roberto Cavalli dress with shimmering fringe to sing classics like “You Belong With Me” and “Love Story” from her second studio album, Fearless. This outfit is extremely similar to another one the designer made for her Speak Now Tour back in 2011.
During this segment of the performance, Swift is still wearing her glittering Lover-era Louboutin boots and accessorizing with a DIY guitar wrapped in rhinestones that her parents made for her before the tour’s opening gig.
The Speak Now era: A purple Nicole + Felicia gown
Swift wears a few different dresses from this era, but her custom Nicole + Felicia ballgown—which made its premiere the same weekend as the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)—stands out from the others.
This dress has a straightforward v-neck bodice that gives way to a full, three-tiered, sparkling ombré skirt—a reference to the violet cover image for this record. Swift spends most of this part of the event in one place, performing beloved songs like “Enchanted” and “Long Live,” so the spectacle of this dress is appropriate.
The Folklore era: A green Alberta Ferretti dress
When Swift plays songs from her Folklore album during one of the longest performances of the evening, she occasionally chooses to wear this flowing, light green custom Alberta Ferretti dress, which is bursting with movement and substance. The kiwi-colored dress’s elaborate embellishments, such as the meticulously embroidered leaves surrounding the neckline and the midriff cutout, perfectly capture this era’s inventive spirit.
The 1989 era: A magenta Roberto Cavalli set
She’s been jumping all over the stage in her custom pink Roberto Cavalli top and skirt pair as she sings energetic favorites like “Shake It Off” and “Blank Space.” The ensemble also honors a different, comparable two-piece outfit that the singer donned during her 1989 World Tour in 2015. Swift is adopting the proverb “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” by copying some of her most famous looks!
