Red Carpet Royalty: Jessie Buckley Dazzles in a Custom Balenciaga Gown at the 2026 Actor Awards

During the 2026 awards season, Irish actress and singer Jessie Buckley has attended numerous events, including the 83rd Golden Globes, 79th British Academy Film Awards, and the 32nd Actor Awards, showcasing distinctive customized attire from Chanel, Dior, Balenciaga, and other brands as she confidently traverses the red carpet to accept accolades for her portrayal of Agnes Shakespeare in “Hamnet.”

Last Sunday, March 1, 2026, Jessie Buckley was seen arriving at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California, to attend the 32nd Actor Awards, formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which were presented by SAG-AFTRA alongside actress and singer Kristen Bell to honor the best achievements in film and television performances in 2025.

Jessie Buckley impressed the audience at the 2026 Actor Awards by wearing a stunning Balenciaga strapless gown in black velvet with a vintage flair. She gracefully walked from the red carpet to the stage, where actor Andy Garcia presented her with the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her role as Agnes Shakespeare in the movie “Hamnet.”

In the category of Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role at the 2026 Actor Awards, Jessie Buckley contended with a slate of distinguished nominees, including Rose Byrne, for her portrayal of Linda in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You; Kate Hudson, for her role as Claire Sardina in the musical Song Sung Blue; Chase Infiniti for her depiction of Willa Ferguson in the drama/action thriller One Battle After Another; and Emma Stone, an American actress and film producer, for her performance as Michelle Fuller in the comedy/sci-fi feature Bugonia.

Pier Paolo Piccioli, an Italian fashion designer and creative director, designed the Balenciaga two-tone gown worn by Jessie Buckley at the 2026 Actor Awards, drawing inspiration from the outfit Cristóbal Balenciaga designed in the 1950s for his haute couture collection. This retro-inspired gown was crafted from white satin that wrapped around the off-the-shoulder neckline, creating a cape-like silhouette that offered a modern reinterpretation of classic haute couture and finished with a sweeping maxi length that brushed the crimson carpet, drawing considerable gaze as she posed for photographers on the red carpet.

Jessie Buckley, an Oscar-nominated actress, completed her vintage-inspired look with a pair of black Balenciaga Duchesse leather pumps featuring pointed toes and stiletto heels that elongated her silhouette while adding a touch of refinement.

But it wasn’t just Jessie’s vintage-inspired two-tone gown and pumps that drew everyone’s attention at the awards ceremony; her accessories, designed by Jessica McCormack, a New Zealand-London jewelry designer recognized for her bold and unique fine jewelry designs, also received attention. These accessories included an astonishing 17-carat diamond button-back necklace with magnificent round-cut diamonds set in a cut-down Georgian setting of 18K blackened white and yellow gold.
