What Actually Healed My Skin Without Expensive Skincare Products

A woman applying skincare products

I used to think that buying expensive skincare products would help me heal and get rid of my acne. I used to research online about my skin type and use products according to that. What didn’t I try? …But nothing really worked the way I expected.

After wasting my savings, I started to feel my skin improved when I switched to a healthy lifestyle, understanding what my skin wants and using natural remedies my mother taught me. I kept things simple and consistent, and it wasn’t about using more products, but the right one and a few.

At one point, I felt so ugly and scared to move out of my room. It took all my confidence and was so stressful. I was trying too many things at once without realizing and learning their results. I would switch products every few days, hoping to see quick results. Looking back, that was a mistake.

What started working for me?

1. Keeping my routine simple

Instead of using lots of products, I reduced them to just 2/3 effective essentials. This made my skin feel less irritated and calmer. I understood our skin can’t handle too many products at once. My mother told me our skin is too sensitive, so we should avoid using a lot of products.

It needs its natural surroundings, like fresh air and even sunlight. I followed that.

2. Paying attention to what triggers acne

I realized certain unhealthy habits, like eating junk only not following my diet, also made my skin feel worse. We should never consume oily food and packaged foods for our skin and gut health.

I just want you all to leave junk, oily, and packed food, and just for a week, try eating fruits and home-grown healthy vegetables, and stay hydrated, you all would thank me for sure.

And the most important thing is to sleep on time and wake up early, too. Go to sleep at 10:00 pm and wake at 6:00 am even your whole day feels lighter and more active.

Please try this once.

3. Being consistent, not impatient

Earlier, I expected results in 2-3 days. But skincare doesn’t work like that. Once I stayed consistent for 2 weeks, I noticed a slight difference. Acne taught me more patience than my skincare routine ever could. Healing takes time, not trends. Let me explain it with an example: you planted a flower yesterday, you cannot expect it to grow tomorrow and become a beautiful garden. Because beauty takes time. But you cared for and watered it daily, you can get flowers within 2-3 months. Likewise, skin also improves when you stop rushing the process.

4. Following social media trends

Influencers and celebrity and paid to do promotions, so their job is. Celebrities even do ads on enjoying Coca-Cola, but never drink in real life because it’s unhealthy, so is skin care. Instead, we should consult our dermatologist, they help a lot. Never buy a product that’s viral on social media; understand your skin types and use such products.

5. Stay Hydrated

This is the major thing you should follow; this makes our whole body and skin feel relaxed and calm.

Mistakes I would Avoid Now If I could go back, I would:

a. Stop buying random trending products

b. Avoid touching my face too much

c. Healthy Diet

d. Stay patient

Acne can be frustrating, especially when nothing seems to work. But from my experience, the solution is not always expensive products; sometimes it’s about understanding your skin, being patient, and living a healthy life. Please trust the process and trust yourself. At the end, Everything works and will be fine.

Thank you all for being until the last.
