Makeup is an art and is supposed to conceal some flaws on your face, it is not designed to transform your face into a ghostly white pearl white unrecognizable vampire.

Sorry but that’s how you may look with your gora complex makeup.

We all are created in different ways and each face has different features. There is no fixed definition of beauty and that’s why we all are unique and beautiful in our own ways. With that being said, let’s see the common trends of the makeup mostly females follow, without realizing they are doing more damage than any good. First of all, those products are not at all healthy and since Pakistan is a consumer society – people opt for cheap products that offer low quality.

Example?

Well, Faiza beauty cream was rejected by the UK because it had lead and other deadly chemicals which directly caused cancer. But the same company is running a successful business in Pakistan, because of the demand for cheaper products.

Secondly, I don’t understand why women have to look like absolute clowns and put on makeup that entirely changes their face. Makeup should be minimal, consisting of a BB cream, a light pink colored gloss, and a chemical-free mascara. Trust me, this look is far better than all the unnecessary shades you put on your eyes, brow bone, lower lash line, inner core, outer core, and Jesus’ whatnot.

And that is applicable to makeup as well. Almost 99% of the men agree to the fact that women look much better with minimal or no makeup, than those who wear excessive makeup. A natural look will get you more compliments than heavy makeup. You just need to be able to carry your look with style and confidence.

Carry a good posture, wear elegant clothing, and maintain hygiene and that’s all you need. You don’t need to spend thousands on makeup products, you just a basic few items, and you’re good to go.

I am the only female in my social circle who doesn’t have all the shades of red or brown or orange lipstick, and I am absolutely okay with that. I have more books than lipsticks. All my friends think I am an alien for not having the naked palette or the urban decay primer, but they do compliment me on the minimal look I usually wear.

I still manage to pull off any look I want, because confidence is key. And it’s more than just your face; it’s about your personality, your aura, clothes, and the style you carry.

So next time when you are tempted to buy that palette, or that lip shade, think twice and consider if you really NEED it.

And remember: less is more.

Cheers!
