Organic textiles rule the roost in such cases of sustainability. Textiles that are called organic are grown in a controlled and monitored atmosphere. They are grown naturally without any pesticides or fertilizers used. The fabrics are processed using specific organic techniques and are tested for additives. The fabric should contain at least  95% of organic fiber to be called organic fabrics or material.

When we think of fashion, we always think of fabrics first and what comfort they would bring if fabrics are made of sustainable materials. Such is the situation now that we need to rely on alternate solutions, as the fashion industry is in major need of such fabrics.

Various fabric materials are used to suit the fashion needs of the communities. Organic cotton is one such material. It is commonly used, as it is breathable in summer and hence becomes a favorite amongst people living in humid climatic conditions. Recycled cotton is sustainable as it has the potential to help reduce water and energy consumption to a large extent.
