Modafinil is primarily used to treat excessive sleepiness associated with narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, or shift work sleep disorder. It is an effective solution recommended by physicians to get better results.

Overdosing or taking a higher dosage of Modafinil can cause high blood pressure. The standard recommended dose is 200mg per day, which can be taken up to 400mg per day, which is the maximum dose limit per day. The mechanism of Modafinil blocks the blood flow and forms clots. It can lead to a heart attack. Also, a Modafinil overdose can lead to hypertension, tremors, and tachycardia.

Not all Modafinil users experience such problems. People older than 65 years and those who have existing heart problems are more likely to have heart problems while taking Modafinil.
